If I Can cook, Anyone Can!
My culinary journey began as a young adult, coming to the United States from Colombia, unable to boil water, yet gifted with a discriminating palate.
Since then, I have travelled extensively to many continents, making friends with
locals, and learning their flavorful “secrets” to authentic dishes.
During my travels, I have discovered that the foods they prepared were as exciting as they were! I then began to document my discoveries, and by trial and error, over 25 years of exploring and tasting, I now have a
cookbook of nearly 450 recipes and photos, ready to be published. I find inspiration everywhere, from my herb and vegetable gardens to my international relocation real estate clients and friends.

Serving The Community
Marta has served the community in many ways. As a membership Chair (for over 5 years) for the Naperville Neighbors and Newcomers Club NNNC). She organized the new member’s coffees 3 times a year, and constantly recruited neighbors and new neighbors to join. The bylaws of the club were voted unanimously to change to allow Marta to stay an extra term, due to her successful natural recruiting abilities and her great contribution to the club.
She recently resigned again to this position, and this time irrevocably to pursue more in depth her cooking and real estate, but she will continue as Co-Chair of “Make, Bake, and Buy”, a large NNNC fundraising event, leading the Bakers Guild (wich she implemented) were ladies of the club participate by baking goods arranged in beautiful platters and holiday
dishes to raise funds for the clubs philanthropic activities.
